How to play Spider Solitaire

Take a moment to read the table. Complete eight same-suit king-to-ace runs. Select cards directly on the tableau and work through a full solo deal. The same rule applies on a phone and on a computer. Before making a move, check the cards in view. Build down by rank. Only descending same-suit groups move together. Empty columns accept any movable group. Return to the explanation when a decision is unclear.

Two decks, one/two/four suits; fill every column before a ten-card stock deal. Free solo play, no wagering.

Take a closer look while playing

Work at your own pace. Select a face-up card and then the destination pile or Empty slot. Take the next action only when the current step is clear.

What the game asks you to do

Controls

Click or tap cards and piles. Wide tableaus scroll inside the game; use Undo, Hint and New deal where shown. The same rule applies on a phone and on a computer. A clear plan starts with the current position.

An example before you play

A mixed-suit descending stack cannot move as one group. The same rule applies on a phone and on a computer.

One detail worth checking

Treat this as a chance to practise one rule. Random deals are not guaranteed solvable. A hint is a legal move, not a winning strategy. The same rule applies on a phone and on a computer.
